News about MANIT misleading: Director
By Our Staff Reporter

Bhopal, Oct 30: In an official press note, Maulana Azad National Institute Technology Director KS Pandey has termed as misleading the reported being published in a section of media about MANIT. Following is the full version of Pandey's letter sent to Central Chronicle through both hard and soft copies on Tuesday.

'In the last few days I have found some news in the local news papers in which some of the faculty members are trying to defame this institute and giving misleading information to the press. I have also read a news regarding formation of a MANIT Faculty Association in one of the leading daily. I want to clarify that the institute does not recognize any such association and in NIT set up setting up of any such association is totally invalid and not at all recognized by GOI. Dr. Gayatri Agnihotri, who is a self designated President of the so-called MANIT Faculty Association, along with her associate, self designated secretary Mrs. Tripta Thakur, are supported by only few faculty members. They have concentrated to defame the institute academically by giving false and irresponsible statements to the media and press just to fulfill their own interest. It is highly shameful that such teachers are putting the career of almost 2,500 brilliant students in the dark. Dr. Gayatri Agnihotri is the same faculty member of this institute, who claims to improve the reputation of the institute by improving the academics, has refused to work assigned to her relating to AIEEE councelling-2006, just a day before the commencement of the councelling. She was replaced immediately and was cautioned along with the advice to work in the department of Electrical Engineering as Professor and devote her time in the department.

I have also found that there are certain NGOs operating against the institute namely - Parakram Jansevi Sansthan, Living Heritage Alliance etc. Unfortunately faculty members namely Mrs. Savita Raje, Smt. Lakshmi Kumre, Dr. Nitin Dindorkar, Smt. Tripta Thaku, Shri Kamal Singh, B.R. Nayak (Retired Faculty) etc. are members of these NGOs contributing to defame the institute and are also providing false and misleading information to the press with ill-intentions. Some of these faculty members have been either punished for their academic crime or with a bad blot on themselves.

Keeping all these fact into view, Pandey concludes 'I request you not to entertain any news from these NGOs or self-styled Associations. I further request to kindly clarify the matter by the undersigned or the PRO of the institute before publishing it in your esteem newspaper, before after all it is a matter of future of our 2,500 students'.

Students union supports director

Bhopal, Oct 30: The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Teachers Student Association president Ashutosh Shukla has come in support of MANIT director's Tuesday's appeal where he distanced institute with the faculty members who operates through NGOs and malign the image of MANIT for personal gain.

Speaking to the Central Chronicle, Ashutosh said that future of the 2,500 students is most important. Appearance of any negative stories in the newspaper not only tarnishes image of institute, but could damage career opportunity of students who each year finds job placement from the campus.

Guys,
I personally don't see any concrete action happening, All this seems like a hogwash. How about going by the poll results and mounting a PIL.

To the honoury directer
sir on the behalf of the students I can confidently assert that when you talk of the future it is not of the students rather it is your you are worried about.
you seem to be unaware of the unpopularity of your decisions which have been erratic and logically insane the student community is sick and tired of seeing you acting as a puppet to the powers that be in the institute
frankly your personal conduct too is unbecoming of the director of such a prestigious institute as is the language you use you sir cannot claim too represent even onr tenth of the students studying in your college as such you represent only yourself and your puppet masters
yours obiediently

Hello to all blog readers.

I m a student of the same institute and to be honest, the student union is not with the Idiot KS Pandey, he has control through authority of Staff Advisor, DR. Saxena, to Students' Council, a student body formed by these people to rule over the students.

The council under discussion is as bad and biased as these people are and caters only to the personal interests of Dr.Sharma and Ms. Saxena

KS Pandey himself is highly corrupt and is a puppet in the hands of Sanjeev Saxena. I went to MANIT few months ago and some one mentioned that Sanjeev Saxena had physically thrashed (read slapped) KS Pandey right in his office once. He is a coward

Guys,
We all are civilised people. There is no point losing our focus and being derogatory/offensive to people holding important positions.Such language is just not acceptable. If you are genuinely concerned about the crusade to cleanse this institute of rogue elements,be circumspect and focus on issues rather than individuals.Ofcourse,if you are one of Sanjeev Saxena-Ashutosh Sharma's bullies and deliberately writing all this to defame this blog & make a case for this campaign's decent burial then it's a different situation altogether. The moderator of this blog should be more cautious because Saneev Saxena & Ashutosh Sharma's men can resort to any kind of dirty tricks to malign this blog.First they will pose as if they are against them and will start putting objectionable messages on this blog, then there will be an uproar about this blog being highly objectionable & defamatory by the same set of people. So beware and filter the messages before accommodating them!

I think all are only fools here. They should stup up there dirty mouth. If they have claiber then go outside and prove their ablility outside. We are know their caliber enough. And can understand where they get job outside. They should thanks to MANIT for giving them shelter. What else can say about them.

News headline in Central Chronicle is slightly incorrect.

Instead of -
News about MANIT misleading: Director

It should be read as -
News about MANIT: misleading Director

I agree with comment from "Electrical" that we should desist from using abusive language on this blog.

This press note by the Director MANIT clearly indicates his poor calibre and that he is just a willing puppet in the hands of sanjeev saxena who wants to stick to MANIT by various means, because he cannot stand on his own, or his private institute, without the support of MANIT funds. He must be a happy person to find first Ashutosh Sharma and now K.S.Pandey as his willing puppets, besides having his wife, sister, sister-in-law placed at all such positions from which he can gain financial benefits. K.S.Pandey, with this press release, has exposed himself. He is targetting innocent faculty instead of those who are the real culprits. Shame on you Mr. Pandey Shame Shame Shame Shame.

Recieved this in mail in response to this news article

The statement made by the director in central chronical is totally baseless. He is trying to save himself and sharma/saxena. His behaviour towards faculty and students is totally erratic and he do not want to take any action against the culprits. Nothing can be done against your website as you are working for noble cause. Therefore do not worry. However we must go fir PIL route now by seeing the conditions. As true faculty member I am with you.
Yours
