MACT Bachao : Proposed course of action .....

Dear Friends,

As discussed with some of you, I have concluded that RTI is the best instrument to force the issue.

I have contacted the National RTI Helpline. They do not reveal their whereabouts for security reasons. However, they have put me on to an RTI activist who asked me to contact this evening after 6pm. I will give him all the details and seek his guidance to draft a petition.

After getting a draft petition, I will circulate this for everyone's info. We will file at least 250 identical RTI petitions, i.e., 250 individuals will have to file a petition.

Hopefully, we should be in a position to fire our first salvo within a week.

Please post this message in as many MACT groups as possible.

Someone might come out with a smarter, brighter idea!

Regards
Ramesh Chari

Yes RTI is the best tool....in addition we can try to make it a National Stri....send mails to PM, President, Suprim Court....why MHRD is not taking any action after submission of the report even after 3 months....it seems DAL ME KUCH KALA HE.....

Also escalating the news to the main news channels of india would be a good idea to create a stir and awareness among people. Then more people would join the mission and would have a bigger and better say.

A PIL in the MP Highcourt and Supreme Court could also be considered. The petition itself may be sent to the Registrar of the respective courts.PIL petitions do not require court fee.

I agree with RTI, all of us reading/writing on this, should send an email to editors' of all national news papers and have them publish like Dainik Bhaskar.

Also who ever has contacts with Tehelka team, we should have them do some tehelka report on this, that should clean this up quick, with all the hoopla and pressure that will be generated, everyone then have to act, Govt, Dean Director etc.
